Jets - 34 Bears - 38

The Jets lost a tough one yesterday at Soldier Field. I was really really impressed with the way the offense performed. Mark Sanchez played extremely well, completing 24 of 37 passes, throwing for 269 yds., 1 TD, and 1 INT with a 84.2 passer rating. His completion percentage was 64.8%, which is outstanding. He should have had 2 TD's but Keller dropped a beautiful pass in the end zone. If you would have told me that the Jets would score 34 points against a very good Chicago defense, I would have taken that in a heartbeat. So what happened?? The defense was atrocious. The defensive unit played pretty good in the first half, with there only hiccup coming on Matt Forte's 22 yd. TD run, which it seemed like no one could tackle him. Jay Cutler went 13/25 for 215 yds., 3 TD's(all in the 3rd quarter), 1 INT(returned for a TD by Lowery), and one rushing TD. The defense held Cutler down in the first half, with the Bears only success on offense coming via the run game. Obviously the Bears made adjustments at halftime, as they came out with a different approach on offense.  They had 3 long TD passes in which one the Jets only had 10 men on the field, another Lowery was caught out of position, and another was set up by Jason Taylor's bad positioning on Matt Forte. If the defense would have played up to it's potential then the Jets would have easily won this game as they were dominating the Bears defense.
